Cindy Hershey was born in Pennsylvania and raised on a farm in Minnesota. At the age of five she understood her need to be saved, and at age eleven she felt the Lord calling her to foreign missions. This was the beginning to preparing her for this journey as she completed her bachelor’s in teaching at Northland Baptist Bible College in 1991.
At the age of 23, in August 1991, she headed to her Mission Field - Aguascalientes, Mexico. She served at the Latin American Missionary Training Institute, teaching 4th, 5th & 6th graders for 13 years. She has served in many cities across Mexico reaching different ethnic groups (The Mayas, Huicholes & Nahuatl), alongside National Pastors and in 2016, celebrated her 25th anniversary and earned citizenship in Mexico.
Her ministries include, but are not limited to:
Her desire is to be the hands and feet of Jesus in her hometown, Aguascalientes (a very closed area to the Gospel) and lead others to know the Savior. Her passion is discipleship and multiplication; training leaders to reach more areas of Mexico. She wants to rescue the lambs from the enemy who is seeking to destroy them!
